Meditation - Ian Rogers

Meditation classes are conducted as guided meditations which touch upon subjects that affect people’s lives. In his facilitated meditation sessions, Ian ensures that issues that may arise are presented in a way that can be understood and worked with.

In the higher planes of the spiritual world, punishment does not exist. Rather, one just enjoys the higher levels of energy. In order to teach clients how to progress spiritually, Ian guides them through meditation sessions in order to reach a higher place of learning where they can have access to energy and information available at this higher level.

The application of what takes place at a spiritual level impacts upon our lives on a daily basis. It is a significant part of the secret to success in our life on earth to gain an accurate understanding of what transpires on a spiritual level, and how this becomes a part of our daily life.

Meditating with Ian is a rewarding experience. During meditation sessions, clients do not slow down their energy; rather, they are taught how to increase their energy so that they can connect with their spiritual guides and higher energies. In this way, clients can access the help, wisdom and support of their guides which can help them address the issues which may arise during the meditation session.

Group Meditation - Marc Ponzi

Meditation is a process in which we learn how to quieten the mind and expand the awareness. Within this awareness, we discover we can bring peace to the heart, increase happiness and connect to our deepest truth. Meditation enhances healing, creativity and wisdom.

Marc organises guided meditation using breath and visualisation, and teaches valuable tools based on the chakras and their associations.

Yoga - Michael Alder

Yoga is instrumental in improving flexibility and strength in such a way that posture is improved, range of motion is increased and self-confidence results from personal achievement. Breathing techniques and guided relaxation are beneficial in development of self-control and emotional stability.

Reduction in stress and related problems such as poor sleep habits can also result from regular yoga practice.

Michael conducts regular yoga classes at Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre – his focus in these classes is to bring Yoga into the 21st Century. A mixture of yoga postures is incorporated into his classes – the sequence of postures, breathing and relaxation ensures a balance of exercises for development of strength, improved flexibility and an increase in stamina.

Classes may focus on different styles of yoga sequences, such as Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram, and Kundalini, although the main influence is from the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar. During the sessions, a friendly, social atmosphere is encouraged and it forms an important part of Michael’s class structure. All classes finish with a breathing practice session and a guided deep relaxation. About Michael Alder

Pilates - Michael Alder

Pilates is for those who wish to increase the fluidity and range of motion of major joints, increase the strength and support provided by the deep abdominal muscles and other core muscles and alleviate problems in the lower back and shoulders, which may have resulted from prolonged poor posture habits.
Reduced weight, increased strength and more fluid movements usually result from regular practice of Pilates.

Pilates exercises will often assist in the rehabilitation of injury to the muscles & tissues of the spine, hips and shoulders.

Michael conducts small class groups at the Centre which allow individual issues to be addressed when necessary. About Michael Alder

Personal Training - Shaun Sharp

Individual Sessions
Shaun assesses and prescribes specific exercises incorporated in a personal training program which will increase fitness and mobility,flexibility and movement, reduce pain and discomfort in joints and muscles, and most importantly, contribute to improved confidence and well being.

A healthy lifestyle, weight training, regular aerobic activity, stretching, and staying active is important to ward off the many diseases associated with the ageing process. Weight bearing exercises can improve health and assist in the management of various conditions such as osteoporosis and arthritis.
Strength and Condition training is both aerobic to improve general fitness and anaerobic to assist in weight loss and improve muscle strength. This is particularly important for people with Insulin Resistance and Metabolic Syndrome. It can also assist in lowering blood pressure, lowering cholesterol levels, improving self-esteem and general wellbeing. Training is fun and can be done individually or in groups.

Group Sessions:
These are currently planned for each morning of the week. Group training sessions will include both circuit training and gym stick classes. Circuit training consists of a variety of exercises for the whole body using gym sticks, hand weights, Swiss balls, and boxing. Gymstick classes will use only gym sticks and swiss balls. General strength training and core strength work will also be included.

Classes are limited to eight people to enable high levels of supervision and instruction.

New Mother Group Sessions:
Shaun is planning New Mother Groups for women looking regain their pre-pregnancy and enhance their general fitness. Training will be done both at the centre and outdoors. 10 Week Group Session Packages are available including special offers such as massage.

Ear Candling- Laurie Hilder-Quach & Allison Pasznyk

Ear candling has been practiced over many years and in many different countries, including Asia and has been traced back to the Indians of South and North America. The candles can assist in relieving symptoms related to the ear and head. It is a painless procedure that uses heat as its primary application. The candle is placed in the ear with the opposite end alight. The heat of the smoke softens the earwax, which is then drawn into the candle.

The experience of ear candling is very relaxing. As you lay listening to the soft crackling of the candle burning, your therapist softly massages your face, neck and head. This not only feels good but it helps with circulation, assisting the ear candling for a greater result.

Neurofeedback (Serenity System) - Jane Lee-Stewart

Serenity Neurofeedback is a sound-based biofeedback technology through computer software, which assists the brain to self-regulate, improving brain function, flexibility and performance.
Neurofeedback sessions are safe, pleasant and relaxing and take advantage of the brain’s inherent neuroplasticity or ability to rewire itself. Serenity training works with the Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and SMR brainwaves. The training has been demonstrated in research to assist the brain function of people suffering anxiety, depression, epilepsy, insomnia, memory problems, ADD, alcoholism and panic attacks.

Serenity can also be used for peak performance training or to enhance and deepen meditation.
