Counselling- Dr Anne Small and Marc Ponzi

The aim of counselling is to identify and release long standing emotional pain that contributes to a person's physical and psycholological ill health. Clients are empowered to make effective changes in their lives by gaining better understanding of themselves. With a safe, confidential environment, clients have the opportunity to explore and experience new ways of being and behaving. Counselling is an investment in your personal growth and well being.

Anne has been counselling for 20 years and has gained experience by working in the psychiatric unit at the Royal Children's Hospital, at Royal Park Psychiatric Hospital and at Cresswell Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre. Anne has a special interest in childhood abuse of all kinds and its effects on adults and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She uses a variety of techniques gained from her many years of experience, including Eye Movement Desensitive and Reactivation (EMDR).
Marc has a special interest in relationships, self esteem, anger, stress, abuse and depression. In a session, Marc combines his intuitive wisdom, healing energy, and colour therapy to ignite the client's won inner healing abilities which will enrich their life in all aspects and to enhance their self awareness.

Psychosomatic Medicine

In this model, disease and bodily dysfunction have their origins in incorrect or imbalanced thought.

Our natural state is one of good health. Each part and process of our body is a microcosm of our larger view of the world and reflects the conclusions we have reached about life, the way we think life

works and how well we are performing on life's stage.

Researchers in this field, such as Louise Hay and Gregory Neville have found strong correspondences between areas of the body and our beliefs about the way life works. Understanding the incorrect conclusions you have reached about life and changing them can help to shift imbalances in the body.

Jane has studied with Greg Neville who has identified the psychosomatic underpinnings of over 200 conditions. These include often intractable issues such as obesity, chronic fatigue and psoriasis.
