Naturopathy – Gina Fox & Assunta Hunter

Naturopathy is a general term that encompasses western herbal medicine, nutrition, and diet and lifestyle counselling. Naturopaths follow the principle that there is a life force that enables the body to heal itself, given the right conditions. Natural therapies can be used to stimulate the vital force and realign the body towards a healthy balance. Naturopathy can be used to treat a range of disorders from stress and general fatigue to more complex conditions such as digestive disorders, asthma, arthritis and endometriosis.

Gina Fox is an experienced naturopath who specializes in the use of herbal remedies, dietary counselling and nutrition.

Western Herbal Medicine – Gina Fox & Assunta Hunter

As European herbalists we use the principles of naturopathy to guide herbal treatment. This involves a multi-facetted understanding of the patient's health and the individual nature of the social, emotional and environmental influences on their health.

After completing a full health history and undertaking any relevant health checks, individual herbal prescriptions are prepared for patients. These prescriptions may be in tablet, powdered herb, tea or liquid form and are prepared according to individual patient symptom patterns and needs, in conjunction with recommended alterations in diet or lifestyle.

Nutritional Counselling – Gina Fox & Assunta Hunter

Food and digestion are essential to our health. All the factors that affect our nutritional status, such as diet, drugs, stress and lifestyle are closely examined and evaluated.

As practitioners we help our patients to gain a better understanding of their individual nutritional needs and teach them how to adapt their diet for achieving optimum health. Specific foods and mineral and nutritional supplements may be given to strengthen and balance the body.

Natural Fertility Management – Gina Fox & Assunta Hunter

A pre-conception health program can help you to achieve a healthy conception, pregnancy, birth and baby.

The focus is on educating both men and women about reaching optimal health and fertility. The benefits of a comprehensive pre-conception program will include enhancing fertility by helping to understand your reproductive menstrual cycle and using treatment where needed, to improve hormonal balance and for the treatment of any conditions such as PCOS, pre menstrual syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts or painful or irregular periods.

Where fertility is an issue a pre-conception program can be a positive approach to achieving conception.  It is usually helpful to work in conjunction with your medical practitioner to gain access to test results and to provide an integrated health program for you.

When IVF is being undertaken natural remedies can support and improve the chances of a positive outcome.

Healthy foods, vitamins, minerals and herbs are used to improve overall health and, in turn, to support a healthy pregnancy.
