Jill is a qualified and registered Remedial Massage Therapist. She obtained a diploma in Massage Therapy in Canada in 1990. Jill also has a degree in Psychology and postgraduate training in Gestalt Therapy. Since graduating, Jill has run her own practices as well as worked in multidisciplinary clinics both in Canada and Australia (Perth). She joined the Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre in 2013 after moving to Melbourne.
With over 20 years involvement in both therapies, she has gained vast experience working with clients of all ages and stages of life and wellness. Her skills come from diverse areas of work, e.g. professional athletes, chronic pain, people with disabilities, terminally ill, accident victims, work-related injuries.
Whether a client is wanting a restorative, relaxation massage or a specific, remedial massage, Jill provides an individualized treatment for each person using a variety of techniques and modalities.
Jill has a great interest in chronic pain management and with her training in both massage therapy and psychology has developed an integrative approach to her work. She believes awareness is the first step towards change and healing and works with clients to develop and deepen their own awareness.
As Jill is a member of the national association, AAMT, she is able to offer health fund rebates for clients who have the appropriate cover.
